Biography
Enikő Tóth is an assistant lecturer in the Department of Social Psychology at the University of Szeged. She is also a doctoral student in the Psychology Doctoral Programme at the Doctoral School of Human Sciences at the University of Debrecen. In her role as a lecturer, she teaches courses to both psychology and education students at the university and also supervises theses. From the 2025–26 academic year onwards, she has also become involved in teaching psychology in English.
She completed a Master’s degree in Counselling and School Psychology, during which she gained practical psychology experience at several primary schools and at the University of Szeged’s Life Management Counselling Centre. Her interest in the field of research emerged during her bachelor’s and master’s studies, with a primary focus on student burnout.
Her doctoral thesis focuses on the role of perfectionism in academic success and psychological well-being among university students. She believes that perfectionism is widespread among higher education students and that its negative aspects often have adverse psychological consequences. This is why she considers researching this topic important. Her aim is to identify factors that promote the maintenance and strengthening of the adaptive side of perfectionism and to explore new aspects of perfectionism research.
